Will turned 29 weeks old today! He is doing really well and is getting back in a nice routine after all of our traveling. He is now sleeping in his crib! He had been sleeping in our bed, but we decided that it was time to move him to his own room. We all seem to be sleeping better. He is still getting up a few times in the night. He normally takes a bottle or two in the night. If he wakes up other times, he just needs help finding his pacifier or needs to be rocked back to sleep. He is doing much better with the transition than I expected him to. He is still scooting forward. He doesn't do a traditional crawl, but he is able to get anywhere that he wants. He seems to enjoy playing with his toys. He will scoot over to his toy basket, pull it over and start pulling toys out!
He is so good at taking his pacifier out of his mouth and putting it back in. He has been able to do it for a while, but he learned a new trick when we were traveling. He had a little cold, so he would cough occasionally. He was able to tell when he was going to cough, would pull his pacifier out, cough, then put it back in. It was so funny to watch.
Will is getting very observant. He notices if I have a shirt with a design or writing on it and will touch it. He also noticed the bubbles in his tub from his bath wash on Friday. He still loves his bath, so the bubbles make it even more interesting for him.
William's newest accomplishment is being able to move from laying on his tummy to sitting up on his own. He started doing that on Thursday. He is getting quite good at it. We would make a really big deal out of it at first and clap and cheer. He just looked at us like we were crazy! He is also learning to lay back down on his stomach when he is finished sitting up instead of just falling backwards or to the side. That is especially important since we have hardwood floors.
We still aren't able to recognize any words that he says. He tries very hard to talk. We have heard him say "da" a couple of times and sometimes when he is tired he will say "mmm" (we think that is supposed to be mom). He is starting to laugh a lot and has quite the personality. One of the things that currently cracks him up is to watch me yawn! He also loves it when Burt beeps his nose. Here are some of the latest pictures.
Watching the Buckeye game with Daddy (too bad OSU lost!)
Mommy and her boy
Playing on the floor.
Putting "bink-bink" back in his mouth.

What a great post! Love the polar bear outfit he's wearing. Love the shots of him with Burt and with you.
You can really see his personality developing through these pictures (if that makes any sense). I really can't wait to meet this little dude!
What a cutie!! I can't believe how big he is getting... he is really starting to look less and less like a baby and more and more like a toddler!!!
