Baby Will is here!

Hey everyone.

William Burton Hollandsworth:

8 lb. 2 oz, 20.5 inches long. Brown hair with blonde highlights.

Heather and I went in around 5 AM yesterday. Heather started at 4 cm dilated with regular contractions every 3-4 minutes. She progressed slowly to about 7 cm and had an epidural. Following the epidural the contractions slowed down and were less intense so it took until about 6:00 or 7:00 PM for her to become fully dilated and effaced. She pushed from 7:00 to 8:00 but didn't have much success. The doctor believes that Will might have been facing to the side rather than up and down. At that point we all decided that a c-section was the best option and Will was delivered by c-section at 9:33 PM. He shares a birthday with his aunt Beth (my sister).

Will's checkup was perfect and he and Heather are doing great. Heather will be up and walking sometime today and should go home tomorrow morning. She is in room 1210 at the White Co. Hospital in Searcy, AR.
