15 Months Old

Our sweet William turned 15 months old on September 19th. He has had a busy few weeks. It seems like he learns or does something new every day. It is so much fun to play with him and watch him learn to do new things. Here are the highlights from the past few weeks.
* Will is trying to talk all the time now. He has quite a few recognizable words and phrases and jabbers up a storm when he runs out of "real" things to say. One of his new favorite words is "light." He will point to every light that he sees and say "light!". He also will say "there it is", "right there", "what's that?", "hello" and "see."
* He likes to play peek-a-boo by covering up his face with his hands. When he takes his hands down he will say "there you are!"
* One day I asked Will if he wanted to take a walk. He ran to the front door and said "Oh yeah!"
* He is starting to sign "please" a lot. He does it occasionally without us asking. The problem is that we don't always know what he is asking us to do!
* He loves to play outside. He will beg to put his shoes on or take his shoes to the door and look outside. I think he would stay out all day if we let him. One of his favorite things to do outside is play with a basketball (full-sized). He will throw it in a basket and say "Yay."
*Papa Gary came to visit us last week for Lectureship. It was great to have him here for a few days. Will quickly learned that Papa would take him outside anytime he asked. As soon as Papa would walk through the door, Will would get his shoes, hand them to Papa and head to the backdoor!
*Will has started dancing. It is very cute to watch. I will try to get a video. He is also starting to clap his hands a lot, sometimes while dancing.
*We went out to eat Friday evening at a Chinese restaurant. Our table was right next to a fish tank. Will loves to watch fish, so he was very happy. About half-way through the meal, he started blowing kisses to the fish. We aren't sure where he learned to do that since we never taught him to blow kisses and the babysitter said she hadn't either. It was so cute!
*We try to watch OSU football games anytime they are on tv. A couple of weeks ago, Will learned to put his hands in the air for the touchdown sign.
*Will has two more teeth. I found number 9 & 10 on September 14th (five days after I found number 8). They are both on the top, one on each side. He still acts like he might be teething, so I am expecting more soon.
Here are some recent pictures. Again, I am sorry for the infrequent updates. It is hard to keep the blog updated without the internet at home. I will try to do better!
Will playing with the magnets on the refrigerator. They help keep him occupied while I cook dinner.

"What's back there?"

Binkie Man! He loves to have one pacifier in his mouth and at least one in each hand. You never know when you might need a spare.

Will loves to watch the outside cats eat and play. Every morning I feed the cats and he watches them while I get his milk.

Our big, 15 months old boy! He has a little bouncy ball in his hands. He really likes to play with them. I think we have about ten in the house!

A messy, but very cute, eater!

He's getting so big! And once again, I just love all the little updates. I would pay a large amount of money to see him dance or hear him say "Oh yeah!"

And I think I count five binkies in his possession in that picture. Too funny!
