One of the sweetest things that Will is now doing is walking up to us, putting up his little arms and saying "hug." When we pick him up, he wraps his arms as tight as he can around our neck and will make an "ooh" sound. My heart just melts. He mainly does it to me and Burt, but will occasionally go up to other people and ask for a hug. It is so sweet! The funny side of it is that he also tries to ask the cats for a hug. It is so funny to watch him chase Stan around yelling "hug, hug." Poor Stan...
Will loves to "read" books. He will bring books to us during the day and climb up in our laps to read. One of his current favorites is a book called Witzy's Colorful Garden. One of the characters in it is a rabbit called Lulla. So, Will just calls the book Lulla. He will bring it to us and say "Lulla." He also likes to look at books while we are in the van. Of course, half of the time the book he is looking at is upside down! He has another book that he likes that is called Mighty Movers, Diggers and Dumpers. There is a page in the book that talks about a scoop that can open and close. When I am reading the book to him, I will open and close my hand when I get to that page. Now, when he picks up that book he will open and close his hand while "reading" it. He does it on pretty much every page, not just the scoop page!
Will has had two more teeth come in over the past week. We found one of them on bottom last Tuesday evening and the other bottom one on Thursday evening. He still acts like he might be teething, though. I can't imagine what other teeth are coming in! He also has a little cold now, which is no fun since he hates for us to wipe his nose.
I know I have mentioned in previous posts how much Will loves shoes. His babysitter, Miss Anna, bought him a pair of crocs that are bright orange with the holes arranged to look like pumpkin faces. He loves them. They are really cute and I think it is so neat that she got them for him. The picture on the top of this post is Will sitting on our hearth waiting for us to take off one pair of shoes and put on a different pair. He knows which ones he wants to wear and lets us know, too.
Here are a few recent pictures. The first one is Will in his new pumpkin shoes.
Learning to feed himself pudding with a spoon.
Nap time...my sweet little boy.
