4 months old

Will turned four months old today. He had his well check-up this morning. The doctor said that he is doing great. He has grown quite a bit since his two month appointment. He is now 27 inches long (in the 97 percentile) and weighs 17 pounds and 7 ounces (in the 95 percentile). He said to keep feeding him the cereal and fruit and to start feeding him vegetables. We had just been feeding him the solid foods in the morning and evening, but now will start feeding him solid foods at lunchtime, too. The doctor said that he can start Stage 2 foods soon since the Stage 1 foods are in such a small jar for our big eater. He also said that we can start introducing him to some table foods in the next month. We are excited for him to try some mashed potatoes and some of Papa's noodles at Thanksgiving! Will got three more shots and did really well. He cried during them but stopped crying as soon as the nurse was finished and Burt picked him up. So far, he doesn't seem like the shots are bothering him at all. I am giving him Tylenol every few hours just to be safe. Will's next appointment is in two months.
Will has discovered his ear. He has been pulling on and playing with his right ear quite a bit the past couple of days. The doctor said that his ear looked fine, so it is probably that he just found it. He also pulled at Burt's glasses for the first time this morning. He is getting much better control over his hands and really likes to play with his feet.
Here are some pictures that I took today after his doctor's appointment. The first one is him sitting in the recliner. The second one is his on his changing table...you can see the band aid on his leg from the shots. The next one is him in the glider rocker in his room. The last one is him sitting on the couch playing with his foot.

Oh Heather!! Those pictures are so cute! They crack me up though.. it looks like he might be about to pop a few buttons in his "burt shirt!" and I love his hair in the last picture... it looks like a really bad come-over!

I think that today might be the last time that he wears that shirt. I couldn't button the top button! I love it so much that I hate to think that he won't wear it again. His hair is so funny. He is getting a bunch of new hair growing in but still has pieces of "original" hair that is really long, giving the comb-over look. He looks like a little old man sometimes.
