William had his 6 month check-up this morning. He weighs 19 pounds, 9 ounces and is 28 inches long. The doctor said that he looks great. He got all of his immunizations and the first half of his flu shot. He will go back in a month for part two of the flu shot. He doesn't have to see the doctor again until he is a year old! He did really well with his shots, but you could tell that the flu shot hurt worse than the others. He recovered pretty quickly after we picked him up. After he stopped crying the nurse was talking to him and he started "talking" to her in a not so happy voice. It was like he was upset with her for giving him the shots.
After his doctor's appointment, we went to the fire station to have his new car seat installed. They have car seat specialists who will install them for you. The firemen were so nice to us. They gave Will a little plastic fireman's helmet and stickers and even let us get in the firetruck for pictures! They worked for a long time to make sure the the seat was installed correctly and taught us how to install it. It is so nice to know that the seat is installed correctly. Will seemed to like his new seat and fell asleep pretty quickly after we left the fire station.
Here are some pictures from our big day. The picture at the beginning of the post is Will waiting on the exam table to see the doctor.

And to get a free plastic fire hat...
Maybe you could just go with a friend that has a baby to have their seat installed. I will call you before we go next time! It will only take you about 14 hours to get here. It is worth it, right?
