Will turned 24 weeks old on Tuesday. He has had a great week. He ate peas for the first time last Wednesday and loved them. He has also started fake coughing. He has been trying to do it for a while, but figured out how last Wednesday. When we were in Ohio for Thanksgiving, he could make himself cough after he coughed one time for real, but wasn't able to start the process on his own. After we got home, he kept doing this weird yell/grunt. I couldn't figure out what he was doing until it turned into a cough on Wednesday. He is very proud of himself!
He still loves his bath. He likes to splash and play with his bath toys. He is sitting up for a few minutes on his own and can scoot anywhere he wants to go. He is able to roll without any problem and likes to push up on his hands and knees. He looks like he could take off crawling at any point.
We bought Will a big boy car seat on Monday. We think that he is going to be over the weight limit for his infant carrier very soon. I am very excited to try out the new seat. I think he will like having more room to spread out.
We will take Will for his six month check-up next Friday! The time is just flying by. Today was the last day of classes at the university for the semester. The kids have finals next week, then Christmas break starts. I can't believe the semester is almost over. Since I don't have to give finals for my labs, I am officially on break (except for grading one more set of labs). YAY! I have about five weeks off. Can you believe it? We have our schedules for next semester. I will be working one full day and two half days. We only have to have a sitter for about 4 hours one day and a couple of hours another day. I am so blessed to be able to be home most of the time and to be able to work a couple days a week in a job that I really like.
Here is a picture of Will. He started out playing on the blanket and scooted off of it.
Will pushing up on his hands and knees...ready to move!
Ready for church on Sunday morning.

I've got several observations:
1) The fake cough thing is too funny!
2) I can't believe he's so close to crawling.
3) Love the RC sweatshirt! Go Noke!
4) The reindeer shirt is pretty awesome, too.
5) Is his hair getting lighter? Or does it just look that way in certain shots?
I used to do a fake cough thing too...but that was like in high school...
Will is way a head of the game!!
His newest trick is to fake cough, then look to make sure I see him. I think he is practicing so he can stay home from school when he is older!
Heidi, did you see the shirt he is wearing in the picture above the picture in the RC sweatshirt? It is the onesie that you and Amber sent to him. He is almost ready to wear the hat! Yes, his hair is getting lighter. It was really dark brown at first and is now more the color of Burt's hair.
