9 Weeks Old!

Will turned nine weeks old on Tuesday. It was a big day for us because that was also the day that I started back to work. We left him with a friend on Tuesday and he did really well. Her kids had a lot of fun playing with him after they got home from school. They were reading to him when we picked him up that evening. Starting next week, we will have a student come to our house to watch him. Burt is watching him on Thursdays, which I know will be fun for both of them.
Work is going well for me. It is hard to leave Will, but I know he is being well taken care of. It is wonderful to only have to work two days a week and it is a lot of fun to be working with the college students again. So far, all of my labs have gone well.
I can't believe that it has already been nine weeks since Will was born. We got information in the mail from our church yesterday about the nursery program. They suggest that parents start taking their kids to the nursery during Bible class time when the child is twelve weeks old. I was reading it and at first thought we had a long time until he was ready for that. Then I realized that it is only three weeks away! How is that possible?
Here are some pictures so you can see our growing boy. The first two are from Tuesday evening after his bath. The third one is him in his Bumbo chair. We tried it out last night to see if he was ready for it. He can sit in it for a few minutes, then he has trouble holding up his head. He is getting much better control of his neck now, though. You will probably also notice that his hair is starting to thin out. We noticed that he was loosing some of it earlier this week.

Do you have to wear a muzzle to keep from biting a chunk out of Will? That face! He does look just the tiniest bit lost in his Bumbo chair but if he's going to be ready for the church nursery in three shorts weeks, Bumbo is sure to be right behind!
