Soccer

The big boys both played soccer for the first time this fall. They played several games in September and October. Will was one of the few (maybe only) players that had not played before on his team. His coach did a great job of teaching the team the fundamentals of the game and allowing every player equal playing time. Since John was on the 3 year old team, all of the players were new to the game. John also had a great coach that taught the boys the rules of the game and let everyone play. Burt would typically help the coaches by just being on the field and helping to direct the kids. The boys both enjoyed playing. John made several goals and really picked up on the basics very quickly. Will improved a lot from the beginning of the season and was much less timid about playing by the end of the season. They will start playing again in the spring. Here are several pictures from the season!
