13 Weeks Old!

Baby Will is 13 weeks old today. He has had quite a week! He has discovered how to make his hands do what he wants them to this week. He loves to grasp things and suck on his hands and fingers. He also likes to hold onto our clothes when we are holding him or hang onto my hair! He now can grasp toys and will put them in his mouth. He will also take his pacifier out of his mouth and wave it around, then try to put it back into his mouth. He almost got it in one time--he hit his nose with it.
Will is still "talking" a lot. This week he has started to call for us if he can't see us. He will start making yelling sounds (not crying, just trying to get our attention) if he can't see us. Once we are back where he can see us, he will stop. He also will sometimes do it if we are nearby, but aren't looking right at him. I guess it is his way of saying "pay attention to me, please!".
On the eating front, we moved our big man up to 7 ounces of formula this week. He still takes 5 or 6 bottles a day. Will ate his first cereal tonight! The doctor said to start it at 3 months, so it is time. He wasn't real sure about it. He acted like he kind of liked it, but wasn't thrilled by the whole thing. We are going to keep trying a little at a time until he gets more used to it.
He is still sleeping well, but ends up in our bed every night. He will normally go to sleep around 11:00 or 12:00 in his bassinet and wake up around 3:00 or so to get into our bed. He snuggles right back in and will sleep until 7:00 or 8:00. He is always in a great mood in the morning. He will lay in the bed and talk and laugh. It is such a wonderful way to start the day!
